Dual-axle design for huge range; extendable sling

Wild Country Friends are the most iconic climbing protection ever made, now even better with the incorporation of a dual-axle design and extendable sling. These Friends have a number of clever upgrades: hollow axles (patent pending) are stiffer for less weight and easier handling; wide, skimmed lobes grip better yet are kinder on the rock; and an upgraded 12 mm Dyneema sling is agile and easily extended, saving time and the weight of having to use a quickdraw on each cam. Friends are the only twin-axle cam that combines the convenience and comfort of a molded thumb loop with the speed and utility of an extendable sling.

Throughout their 35+ year tenure, although the Friends’ construction has changed, their essence remains the same. At the heart of each iteration has been the definitive 13.75° cam angle, proven in thousands of miles of cracks climbed since 1977.

Please note, the 2008 date on Wild Country cam slings is the patent date of the sling design. The date of manufacturing is the 7-digit number on the sling tag, with the last 4 numbers denoting MONTHYEAR.
